Description:
Ear surgery, or otoplasty, are accomplished mainly for treatment of the anatomical deformities of the ears that they cause some discomforts mainly in the childhood. The minimum age to submit is to 4-5 years old.
Anesthesia:
Local anesthesia, combined with a sedative or general.

Surgery:

The surgeon makes a small incision in the back of the ear to expose the ear cartilage. He or she will then sculpt the cartilage and bend it back toward the head. Non-removable stitches may be used to help maintain the new shape. Duration:1 hour.

Scars:
Ear surgery will leave a faint scar in the back of the ear that will fade with time.

Postoperative:
After the surgery, we placed bandages in the head and the patient that stays 1 day in the hospitalar. The day before the surgery, the bulky bandages will be replaced, we removed the whole curative and the pacient can go home. Stitches are usually removed 8-10 days.

Comments:
This surgery is extremely important for child, because it can avoid that the same pass for embarrassments in the school carting upset important psychic social with compromising in your development.
