Description:
The breast reduction is an important surgery that seeks to correct the problems of increase of volume of the breast (hypertrophy) and of flabbiness (ptose), that cause that discomfort of a big and fallen breast. In some cases, besides carting problems of psychic order, alterations postural can be observed with overload in the spine. Several techniques exist used for the deformities presented by the patient. In agreement with the used technique, we will have resulting scars in form of " INVERTED T ", a VERTICAL scar and or in " L ". In the consultation with your surgeon will be discussed which the best technique to be used. It is important to know that, nowadays, the techniques preserve the breast sensibility and your breast-feeding function. The good result is that the patient changes a big breast and fall for a breast with appropriate size and with scars well positioned in the furrows and natural pleats of the breast.

 

 

 

 

 

Anesthesia:
Regional or general

Surgery:
With the anesthetized patient, we marked in the breast skin the amount of skin and gland which will be removed. After having done the incisions in the skin, takes place the ressection of the breast skin and modelling of the glandular skin is promoted for correction of the flabbiness of the internal skin. We accomplished the making of the new areola and we sutured the internal skin and of the skin.

 

 

 

 

 

Scars:
It will vary in agreement with the degree of flabbiness and of the breast's size (scar in " T ", “L”, or VERTICAL).

Posoperative:
The patient stays 1 day in the hospital. Starting from the 7 day we began to remove the points. The patient cannot make effort with the arms and not elevate the same ones above the head for 30 days. After 20 days, it can return your normal activities.
